Without the ribbon, this card could be a nice masculine “Happy Birthday”, but I wanted to try out my latest Seam Binding ribbon, so we have a bow! I also decided not to put on pearls today…but I could just imagine some in the middle row of the cake, some bling on the candle flames…or change the accent color to “Real Red” or “Pretty In Pink”…maybe even “Tempting Turquoise”. “…the only limitation is your imagination…”.
Lots of matting and cutting on this one, and it was fun to create. (I really did want to pop on those pearls, though!) The striped paper is from the Howlstooth and Scaringbone Designer Series Paper pack, perfect with the Basic Black and Very Vanilla card stock. As promised…the birthday cake and “Celebrate” stamps are from the “Embellished Events” stamp set. There are eleven very versatile stamps in this set and it just might be a favorite! Possibly, I’ll have another design with “Embellished Events” again tomorrow. Until then,
