Had lots of fun with my “Window Frame” framelits and “Cannery” framelits. My Big Shot was movin’ and shakin’ today! The cards featured are 3″ X 3″ note cards.
I really enjoy working with all the Fall colors and I love the “country” look of these cards..the gingham, polka dots and linen thread really make you think of “home and hearth”. Easy and fun to create.
I cut Crumb Cake card stock 6″ X 3″, scored at 3″ and set the fold with the Bone Folder. I placed the fold of the card at the very edge of the framelit so the framelit would not cut the fold completely at the top. If you look closely at the picture you can notice that I left about 3/4″ at the top of the framelit that wasn’t cut (easy to see on the apple card). I secured the framelit with a post-it note so it wouldn’t move when I ran it through the Big Shot. After you complete this, your card is ready, but won’t stand up straight…it rolls over to the side. Just run the very bottom of the card through your cutter…take off about 1/8″. Now you have the your Picture Frame card base.
I cut the patterned paper with the next smaller framelit…cut my apples and pears..popped on some dimensionals, added my bitty banner “Thank You” tag with some linen thread wrapped around the end.
Really simple, quick and fun!
