Christmas Gifts

Yesterday, I posted my Punch Art Christmas Tree. Here's the companion card…"Christmas Gifts".  It was so much fun coordinating all the beautiful patterned paper with ribbons, bows and tags.  Who wouldn't want to have one of these boxes under the Tree?  Here's how I did it:

  • Cut a piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock to the standard note card dimensions; 5 l/2" X 4 1/4";
  • Cut a mat from Very Vanilla at 5 1/4" X 4";
  • The large box on the left is a 2" square with a 2" X l/2" "box topper";
  • The smaller box on the right is a 1 1/2" square with a 1 1/2" X 1/2" "box topper";
  • The smaller top box is 1 1/2" X 1 1/4" with a 1 1/4" X 3/8" "box topper";
  • The largest box is raised with a few dimensionals;
  • The tags are stamped from the "Owl Occasions" Stamp Set and hand cropped;
  • I used "Be of Good Cheer" Designer Series Paper, my favorite Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon p. 172 (which is folded in half, then tied into a bow), the most stunning Gumball Green Stitched Satin Ribbon p. 152, and Very Vanilla 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon p. 172.
  • The "ribbons" are folded around the squares and tucked under at each end.  I added the bows to the box tops with mini glue dots.
  • The Holly Embellishment and "Merry Christmas" are also from the "Owl Occasions" stamp set.

This is another "Quick & Easy" card to put together. You can make a bunch in no time.

Check back tomorrow for another "Holiday Surprise"!

Hope you enjoy, and remember…
