Another Sunday, and another Paper Players sketch challenge. This is a fun and simple card sketch.
This card took under 10 minutes to put together. I punched out two circles each from Midnight Muse and Very Vanilla card stock; cut the beautiful Midnight Muse and Summer Starfruit Paisly Print Poetry DSP rectangle; and hand cropped the Summer Starfruit flagged banner. The "Imagine" sentiment is stamped with Midnight Muse ink.
Color Tip: What would this card be without the embellishment? …Probably just as pretty, but the Midnight Muse dahlia gives the sentiment frame that extra pop, and carries more of the beautiful Midnight Muse to the front of the card. This gives the front circle a little more color and balances the card.
I also used some dimensionals to attach the front circle for a little depth. (Stampin' Dimensionals are a staple to my card making supplies).
Stampin' Up Supplies: Card Stock: Very Vanilla, Midnight Muse, Summer Starfriut, and Print Poetry DSP Stack (#129312); Ink: Midnight Muse (#126860); Stamp Set: Word Play (#120601); Tools: 2 1/2" Circle Punch (#120906); Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430): Embellishment: 2012-2014 In Color Dahlias (#127556).
