It's amazing how a card design comes together with just one element. It could be a piece of card stock, a ribbon, a particular stamp…even a Posie!
Don't you want to just touch the center of the flower on this card? It truly is the center of attention. This is a Summer Starfruit fabric brad from the Pop Up Posies Designer Kit featured in Stampin' Up!'s Spring Catalog.
Today, I opened my kit and made a Posie. That became my inspiration for this card.
Now, what do I do with this Posie? It really is pretty. Naturally, I was going to make a card, but what? There was some Crumb Cake card stock on my craft table from yesterday's sketch challenge card, so that would be my card base.
With that beautiful brad, I knew my card base would have to be a neutral…I actually thought the whole card should be done with neutrals. Then again, I am working on making bolder and brighter cards, right! I'm working away from those "safe" neutrals, right! Well, we'll see how that goes.
I turned to my favorite Print Poetry DSP stack, and there it was…there was my color! I found the pretty Primrose Petals floral patterned DSP, and the rest is history.
Here's to you!
