Happy Monday!
Here’s my card for this week’s Paper Player’s Challenge. It’s a Theme Challenge, “In Stitches”; a sewing or stitches theme using faux or real “stitches”.
So, when I created this card, I added stitches. My little butterflies are stitched on, and there’s a stitched border around my card mat. I’m calling this a Clean and Simple card, and it was very easy to create, but the stitching did take a little time. It’s been a while since I took out my sewing machine, so I paper pierced around the border and hand stitched the frame. I did the same with the butterflies. My Paper Piercing Tool and Mat came to the rescue for this one!
I chose white thread for the stitches to stay with the Clean and Simple look. All of the circles are punched and embossed for some dimension. I punched the butterflies using Tea For Two Designer Series Paper and scattered them around the circles. The sentiment is stamped with “Miracles Happen” from the Bloomin’ Marvelous stamp set.
I definitely stepped out of my comfort zone on this one, and it was fun!
