Just a Reminder…The Blog Candy winner will be announced first thing Friday morning here on my blog. All comments must be in by today at 6 pm CST.
Today's card is very simple and, some would say, clean. With the past two days showcasing Tea for Two Designer Series Paper, you can only imagine how my workspace looked…yep, it was covered with Tea for Two…so here it is again. (I promise, tomorrow I'll have something new and exciting).
This is one of my "Quick & Easy's". Again, the patterned paper is doing all the work. I'm just measuring, cutting and adhering.
I layered some newsprint paper (also from Tea for Two) on a Very Vanilla card base. The zig-zag pattern across the card is snipped right from the paper, and the circle punched with the 1 3/4" circle punch. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from Itty Bitty Banners. I added two mini brads to the edges of the sentiment banner as a little embellishment.
For a little more dimension, I inked the edges of the newsprint layer and zig zag banner with some Early Espresso ink and a sponge dauber.
A few minutes and a cute, quick birthday card.
Stampin' Up! Supplies Used: Cardstock – Very Vanilla, Tea For Two DSP. Ink – Early Espresso. Stamp Set – Itty Bitty Banners. Embellishments – 1/8" Silver Mini Brads. Tools – Stampin' Dimensionals.
Love the way you layered your paper and the sponging makes it really stand out. I never think to do that. Thanks for the inspiration!!
Oh my gosh! I love this card too! I’m going to have to subscribe to your site!
