I was determined to get something stamped today. Lately, it's been a little challenging for me to get the creative juices flowing. I've been doing some studying on card design and color and I suppose that's taken me away from my hands on stamping…maybe a bit of a distraction.
It's nice to have a little bit of knowledge though, and I'm one of those lifelong learners…always digging a little deeper to find out how and why…it's just my nature. Now it's time to get back to my regular stamping and enjoy whatever comes from my stamps and ink, oh, and of course, my patterned paper!
With Stampin' Up!'s new 2013 Catalog release coming closer, that shouldn't be difficult at all. The new products are spot on and trendy. Can't wait to get lots more on that to you. For now, I'll continue to post some sneak peeks.
My inspiration for this card came from Stampin' Up! designer, Sue Rowe. I just loved the overall design of her card. Naturally, I tweaked the design and used different stamps and colors. That's the beautiful thing about sharing your work…you never know from where your inspiration will come.
So here it is…my butterfly (Elegant Butterfly Punch), a little patterned paper, some ribbon and a few pearls. Pool Party and Primrose Petals are so pretty together, and the Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon is stunning!
