Embellished Dahlias

Happy Friday!

Here’s a Sneak Peek Catalog Case from the 2013-2014 Catalog. There’s also a little mix of old and new.

These are the cutest 3″ X 3″ note cards and they’re featured in Stampin’ Up’s new catalog showcasing a great new “In Color”, Strawberry Slush. I paired our new Strawberry Slush with an old familiar, Lucky Limeade…a pretty, pretty color mix!

Embellished Events is a stamp set that’s been around for awhile and I can predict we’ll see it stay around. It’s definitely a “must have” for your stamp collection and I promise you’ll use it over and over. The sentiment font is clean and the stamped images are versatile.

These little cards were a snap to assemble.
The Whisper White card base is 3″ X 6″, scored at 3″ and folded;
The first layer is a 2 1/4″ square with the corners rounded;
Stamp the floral image on the first layer and add the beautiful Dahlia embellishments;
The second layer is a 2 3/4″ square with corners rounded;
I used my Floral framelits to crop out the center on the second layer;
Attached the second layer to the first using Stampin’ Dimensionals;
I hand cropped my little flagged banner and stamped my sentiment in Midnight Muse.

Wanted to share this will you all…

I’ve been a little busy lately with preparations for my daughter’s upcoming Bridal Shower and Wedding and it’s taken me away from my blogging here and there, but definitely not my stamping. I will continue to post to my blog as much as I can for the next week, then things should be back to normal around here.

Stampin’ Up!’s new catalog will be launched next Friday and what an exciting time it’ll be for all of us stampers. The catalog features beautiful clean layouts and lots of samples for the sharing.
