I really do enjoy stamping…making pretty cards, and creating beautiful gift packages and bags. It's so enjoyable and relaxing for me…well, it's usually enjoyable and relaxing…

Blogging is truly a labor of love and a huge commitment, but the satisfaction of sharing work that you love, and receiving thoughtful and positive comments is always so rewarding. I've made a few real friends through comments I've received and when I notice those names in my e-mail, I just smile…can't wait to talk with them about my posts. Sometimes, they make me laugh out loud, but they are always cheering me on.

Now that all is more settled here at home, I made a promise to myself that I was going to get my regular blog posts going again.

That's the not so relaxing part…I've been struggling with trying to come up with new and fresh card designs to post. This is usually not a problem for me.

Today, I went through some of my old Stampin' Up! catalogs and imagined the cards featured as sketches since many of the colors and products are no longer available, or I don't have them. I literally drew the sketches in a notebook and wrote in possible colors, stamps and embellishments I could use. It was an enlightening exercise in getting some stamping mojo back.

Today's card is the first of my personal sketches inspired by lots of past Stampin' Up! pictures. I hope you enjoy them.

Ahh, Midnight Muse and Summer Starfruit, this is one of my all time favorite color combinations…add in a little Raspberry Ripple for some contrast, and in my opinion, it's a WOW! Those Circle Framelits are surely becoming a "go to" tool for me, and Simply Stars will probably be on my stampin' table for a long time. The Itty Bitty Banners Stamp Set and Framelits are a definite "must have". Raspberry Ripple Stitched Satin Ribbon is plain gorgeous, but I know I've said that before.

Today, I was a very happy and relaxed stamper!
