No intruduction today. I'm gong to just jump right in and write another "Stampin' Story". Promise I'll keep it short.
Stampin' Up! introduced their Thinlits Label Card and Thinlits Circle Label Card dies last month. I loved the idea, so I ordered the Thinlits Label Card die. It came. I opened it. I stared at it. I closed it. I put it away! Yikes! I was scared.
Not sure why, I've been stamping and paper crafting for many years. I feared nothing the paper crafting industry could throw at me, but I feared the Thinlits Label Card die.
Last week, I was preparing for my September Stamp Camp and wanted to introduce this to the ladies so I forced myself to pull it out. I read the three simple numbered directions the Thinlits came with….it said:
- Cut the card base;
- Fold on the score marks;
- Personalize with messages, accents and embellishments.
All rightie, then…I cut the card base, folded on the score marks, and…Wow, in no time at all I created my first Christmas card for the Season!
It happened that I just got the "Wishing You" stamp set and it was within reach, so I did exactly what the #3 direction said….
- I personalized with a message (Wishing You sentiment), an accent (the pretty chevron pattern from Season of Style Designer Series Paper, and added a few fussy cut gift boxes from the "Wishing You" stamp set), and an embellishment (beautiful and soft Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon).
So, my wonderful Stampin' friends…I love these Thinlits! I'm not afraid any longer. I embraced my fear.
They're simple, quick and soo pretty!
Grab yours and have some fun!
