Welcome Fall!
Today, The Paper Players is featuring a Theme Challenge for Fall. I created this card a while back and thought it would be perfect for this Challenge.
I always enjoy cropping banners, and "Sweater Weather" Designer Series Paper is perfect for displaying the beautiful warm Fall colors. The pretty blue is called Soft Sky and is so trendy right now for Fall. It's a perfect contrast for the color mix showcased here.
- The perfect square frame was easily cropped with my Squares Collection Framelits;
- The frame is the perfect backdrop for the maple leaf (from Thankful Tablescapes Simply Created Kit);
- A few hand cropped banners ground the framed leaf;
- Some Linen Thread added as an embellishment pulls it all together.
To sum it all up, this is a quick and easy way to say thank you!
"Gee, thanks" for stopping by today, and we'll soon be well into our crisp, cool Fall weather!
Stampin' Up! Supplies Used: Card Stock – Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Soft Sky, Sweater Weather DSP; Ink – Chocolate Chip; Tools – Squares Collection Framelits, Paper Snips, and Stampin' Dimensionals; Embellishment – Linen Thread and Maple Leaf from Thankful Tablescapes Simply Created Kit.
Okay, so this Fall card is gorgeous, too! Actually not sure which one I like best now. Again, I love the mix of papers–and am really liking the boldness of the single leaf.
Very striking…I just made a card with that leaf myself! Love the square panels and the cute little banners! Thanks for sharing it with us at the Paper Players this week!
LeAnne said it best…this is so striking, Debbie! Soft Sky really packs a punch when paired with Chocolate Chip! Thanks for playing with The Paper Players this week!
