Best Wishes for The Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge #171! This one's super sweet…Baked Brown Sugar, Calypso Coral and Very Vanilla. The colors are so pretty, so create something special and link up with us! We'd love to have you.
I'm doing it again…playing with my Stampin' Up! Framelits. Seems they've become a staple on my craft table.
This is a 5" X 5" square card that I had so much fun creating. Etcetera Designer Series Paper is the star of my show today…from my hand cropped polka dot flagged banner to the pretty edged vertical banner, to the sentiment framed tag…all from Etcetera.
Take a look at the pretty bottom border of my vertical banner. I used Deco Labels Framelits to create the bottom edge of the vertical banner.
Here's a quick tutorial on the Deco Framelit Edge:
- The vertical banner measures 4 3/8" long and 3" wide so 1 1/2" is horizontal center;
- With the smallest Deco Framelit in a vertical position, I matched the top center of the framelit to the bottom center of the banner…look at the arrows in the photo below…both edges of the framelit fit along the bottom edge of the paper so you're only cropping the "swirled design" on the inner side of the framelit. (Hope that makes sense to you).
- The Magnetic Platform would work beautifully to hold your framelit in just the right place;
- Working from the center out to each edge, match up the little arrowed edge of the framelit on either side of the center cut out piece…actually if you gently slide the framelit into place it'll automatically hit the edge on the DSP…you'll feel it…run each side through your Big Shot.
- The Very Vanilla square frame is cropped using my 2" square framelit;
- The "Best Wishes" sentiment tag is actually part of the Etcetera Designer Series Paper that I fussy cut.
- The "Best Wishes" sentiment is from Express Yourself stamp set (which has quickly become a favorite of mine).
- The Very Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon works so well as an embellishment.
Hope my short tutorial helps if you want to re-create this edge…I thought the decorative edge on the sentiment tag was so pretty that I wanted to match it on the vertical banner…Deco Framelits worked well.
As always, if you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to e-mail me.
