It's another Paper Players Challenge. This week, it's Stampin' Tic Tac Toe from Ann. It's easy…no sketch, no color schemes. You get to choose the items across, down or diagonally.
Can you guess which items I chose? Yep, the third column down…a button, any shade of blue and a banner.
So, here's my Stampin' Story for this card…I'll keep it short, promise!
- On my craft table, I keep a basket for scraps of card stock and patterned paper to re-use. A large piece of Marina Mist Card Stock was right up front. I had my shade of blue, and it's such a pretty blue.
- Now, do I go across or down? I enjoy using banners and wanted to create with one today, so I went down.
- When I went to choose a stamp set, Simply Stars was sticking out on the shelf, that was the one!
- I stamped a few stars with Marina Mist and So Saffron ink. These are both part of Stampin' Up!'s Subtles Collection. (Since they were part of the same color collection, I knew they would work well with each other – similar color saturation).
- The rest fell into place as I decided how to balance the elements and the color.
- "Thanks" is part of a sentiment stamp from Yippie-Skippie! – great font!
- I really love Clean and Simple, and this card is no exception, but before I put it all together, I embossed the Whisper White layer with the Stripes Embossing Folder.
- I thought all that white space needed just a little texture.
- I was happy with the result.
Had fun playing Tic Tac Toe. Give it a try, I'm sure you'll come up with something wonderful!
Thanks for stopping by today.
Love this card – so clean and striking with the colors you used.
Blue and yellow always look great together and your card is just perfect for the challenge. Love those festive stars and all the texture. So glad you joined us at The Paper Players!
