Lots of “happy” today for The Paper Players! It’s Jaydee’s Color Challenge and these sure are pretty … Midnight Muse, Pool Party and Whisper White.
When I set out to make this card, I had only one idea…that my card base would be Midnight Muse, an all time favorite of mine. In fact, Pool Party is up there also, but I definitely always favored Midnight Muse.
So, I started with my Midnight Muse card base…I was sure of that, but had no idea what would come next. I went into my Designer Series Paper cube and just started looking at all the patterns…I was looking for somethng “Pool Party” and there it was…Quatrefancy Specialty DSP.
As I usually do, I just started cutting and positioning the paper to get some sort of a layout. I had my sentiment elements picked out by now and wasn’t sure whether they would go horizontally or vertically… and vertically it was.
The card lacked something. As much as I wanted to stick with the Midnight Muse card base, my project needed something more.
A window sheet from the Quatrefancy Specialty paper was perfect. I love the look of the white pattern on the deep Midnight Muse.
I added a few embellishments to my sentiment layers and my card was complete.
Ink up those stamps and pull out your card stock and link up with The Paper Players.
Thanks for stopping by today,
Debbie – You have a gift. This card is really very cool. I know the window sheet is even better in person. Nice balance and use of the colors.
How cool, Debbie! Love the use of the windowsheet! Before I read your post, I thought it was DSP but now I see the gorgeous shine from the acetate. Love your composition and all the elements are perfect. So glad you joined us at The Paper Players!
Debbie this is a great card! Love all the layers, the fun shapes and especially the window sheet. Thanks for sharing your creation with The Paper Players!
