Here's a little tribute to the Stampin' Pretty Pals… from me to you… and another simple Sketch Challenge from Margaret Moody for the Pals Paper Arts.
When I initially set out to create something for this sketch, I thought I would follow along and work with the circle pattern… my original card was a strip of the polka dot patterned paper and the Real Red and Whisper White layered circles stamped with the sentiment.
My card just wasn't going in the direction I wanted to take it… so I added the small heart from the Owl Builder Punch but still not there.
I went back through the Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Stack from the new Spring Catalog, and my inspiration came… I added a layer of the diagonal striped paper and to keep the linear pattern flowing, I cropped a Coastal Cabana square.
The sketch is simple and my card is relaxed and informal, so the Real Red Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon was perfect as an embellishment.
All it took was a quick peek through the patterned paper to get the inspiration I needed. My card was ready to go.
So, pull out some pretty Designer Series Paper, create something wonderful, and link up with us Pals. We all love to see your projects.
