It's Thursday and that means another Pals Paper Arts challenge. This one's a super sweet sketch challenge. Thank you Nicole!
As soon as I looked at the sketch, I knew what I wanted to do. Although I love to play around with color, at heart I'm a patterned paper junkie. I think I've mentioned that in a prior post or two or three.
Here was my chance to open up my Back to Black Designer Series Paper. I couldn't wait to get some color on it. My original accent color was Daffodil Delight… (when in doubt, go with a yellow), but it just wasn't working for me this time. Real Red, now that's the color for this card. It gave me the "wow" I needed and my flowers really popped against the black and white.
So, I cropped some 2" squares with my Squares Collection Framelits, cut the layers, colored the flowers with my Stampin' Write Real Red Marker and stamped my sentiment. Quick, easy and fun!
Grab this sketch, crop some squares and have fun creating something wonderful for the Pals.
What a stunning card, Debbie!
Lovely! Your work is always beautiful, Debbie! Thanks for playing along with this week’s Pals Paper Arts sketch challenge.
Love how you colored that one flower in each square, Deb. So classy! Thank you for joining us this week, friend!
I’m a patterned paper junkie too =) Very clever to color the flower in a pop of red! It’s beautiful.
Love this Debbie! I LOVE the pop of red. But of course one look at my blog and you can figure that out! Thanks for Playing Pals Paper Arts!
