Happiness1

Today's post is for the Freshly Made Sketches design challenge… a clean and simple card for a clean and simple sketch.

"Choose Happiness" is a stamp set I've had my eye on for a while. I like the sentiment. It's always better to choose "happy".

I remember my Mother always asked "Okay, happy?" Mom passed away four years ago. She spent the last 25 years of her life in a wheelchair but always smiled and always encouraged. She was strength, beauty and courage wrapped into one sparkling package… a great role model for me, my sisters, and her grandchildren. So, when I first saw this stamp set, I thought of Mom. Happy!

If you read yesterday's post, you'll know that I was determined to use Soft Sky and Soft Suede as a color combination. It didn't work out for yesterday's card, so it was meant for this one. Soft Suede is a rich, warm brown and well… Soft Sky is just gorgeous!

Lots of matting with my Squares framelits, simple banners and an understated button give this card all the embellishment it needs. The sentiment is the Focal Point.

So, pull out your framelits, crop a few banners and create something wonderful!
