Christmas Joy1

Today, I decided to play along with the Merry Monday Challenge Team. The "assignment" is to create a snowflake card using dry embossing and neutral colors.

This challenge prompted me to go through my embossing folders, which I seem to neglect. Glad I did! I found my "Northern Flurry" embossing folder. Now I had my card inspiration… embossed snowflakes, and they're beautifully detailed.

Originally, I wanted to create something black and white so I cropped a Basic Black Layer and stamped the sentiment in black. I thought it was too harsh against the softness of the snowflakes, so I switched over to a Brushed Silver layer and Metallic Silver ink for the sentiment. Much better…

The "christmas joy" sentiment is from the "Endless Wishes" stamp set. I think I like that one… I also think I used it in every blog post this past week. Well, it was a wise purchase!

This card needed nothing more than a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels for a little sparkle. So, in no time at all, I had a beautiful Christmas card, and I hope the Merry Monday Team enjoys it as much as I had fun putting it all together.

So, pull out your favorite embossing folder, add some sparkle, and create something wonderful.

(I've recently had a little technical difficulty with my blog feeds. Technology… Yikes!)
