You can always use another birthday card and this one can be both masculine or feminine.
So, as I was thinking about the layout of today's project, I started to sketch on a 3" X 3" sticky note. Nothing elaborate, just a quick sketch, and since the sticky note is square, that was my inspiration for the square card. It's amazing where your inspiration can come from… think about it, a plain yellow sticky note, a pencil (with an eraser… a must), and just start moving that pencil around. The outcome will surprise you, I guarantee it… the stars started out as circles on my sketch and my sentiment banner was smaller, but I was off to a good start.
When my card was finished, I remembered my recent "Wish List" post for the Pals Blog Hop… Framelits, some patterned paper, a striking sentiment stamp set and sparkle! I used all of the above without even thinking about it. Oh, Stampin' Dimensionals, always!
Give this one a try…
- The card base is 9" X 4 1/2" folded in half to create a 4 1/2" square;
- The bright patterned panel on the far left is 1" X 3 7/8";
- The large center patterned panel is 4 1/4" X 3 3/8";
- The top patterned panel on the right is 2 1/2" X 3 1/2"
- Crop a few shapes;
- Add the sentiment banner with a simple embellishment;
- Use your dimensionals wherever you want;
- Pop on your bling.
- Now, you've just created something spectacular!
