Some patterned paper, a little texture and simple embellishments create the backdrop for this card design.
- Start with a Very Vanilla card base, then add a layer of patterned paper. Here, I used the Mint Macaron diagonal stripe from the "Pretty Petals DSP Stack".
Here's a "Quick Tip" for a perfect layer using the Scallop Tag Topper Punch.
- With a contrasting patterned paper, I punched two tags with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch (I cut the paper strip slightly smaller than the punch width).
- I punched two more tags with some Watermelon Wonder card stock (this time, leaving the strips the same size as the punch width).
- Layer the patterned tag over the card stock tag.
It's perfect!
- I thought I would have a little fun with some texture, so I added a piece of 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon.
- The "Bitty Butterfly" and "Elegant Butterfly" punches created the butterflies;
- A "Very Vintage Designer Button" tied with some Linen Thread helps attach my sentiment banner.
- The sentiment is from "You've Got This" stamp set.
This was a quick, easy and fun project to put together, so grab your favorite patterned paper and create something stunning… and don't forget to celebrate the good things!
