It’s nice to get back to my stamping again! It’s been a busy time for me at my real estate office and I haven’t been able to get to my stamps. I can tell you, I was having card making withdrawals. There’s something about ink, stamps and patterned paper that makes me happy, even if it’s just for a few hours. I think it’s the whole process… deciding what to create, finding that perfect sentiment, matching up a few patterns, adding a little embellishment and finally, putting it all together.
Today’s post is a little different from my usual. I know that you know Stampin’ Up! is getting ready to launch the 2016-2017 Annual Catalog. I’ve seen it… it’s gorgeous… and I really mean gorgeous! The new stamp sets, colors, patterns and bundles are trendy and fun. I should have my newbies by the end of this week and I’ll be sure to share lots of fun “Sneak Peeks” with you.
So without much more chatter, I decided to CASE today’s card from the new Catty… I can’t show you a picture of the project in the catalog, but know that it’s fun, quick and easy. I had the pleasure of having one of my stamping friends stop by today and we each created our own version of the same card. Take a look at Barbara’s card below… a bolder, brighter version.
Most of the supplies used to create this card are on the retiring list, but the sentiment stamp is from the “Tin of Cards” stamp set which is not retiring. The font is happy and bold and works perfectly with the patterns from the “Cherry On Top” Designer Series Paper Stack.
Either one of these cards is perfect for a special graduate or a special birthday.
So, grab some patterned paper, crop a few shapes and create something fun!
