The first time I looked at Stampin’ Up!’s new Occasions Catalog, I knew I wanted the Moon Baby stamp set.  It is the most adorable “baby” set I’ve seen.  Aside from that, I have a personal story attached to the stamp in today’s project.  When my daughter was born, I bought her a “Moon Baby”… it was an exact duplicate of this stamp … a baby asleep on the moon. She still has it and when she saw this stamp set, she remembered her “moon baby”.  That was a nice moment we shared.

It’s been a few weeks since I picked up my stamps, paper and ink and I’ve really missed getting lost in the creative process of it all.  So, having said that, I have another “Stampin’ Story” to share.  Today, I had a “great save”.  This isn’t the first time it happened to me, and I know it’s happened to some of my friends.  Take a look at the picture of my project below…

My card was finished and ready to photograph when I noticed two ink splats… one to the left of the hanging star, just under the moon and one on the right of the hanging star… not sure how they got there, but there they were.  I decided to take a picture of the card and share with you the before and after.  With the help of two more little sequins, my card was PERFECT!  Actually, I like it better with the added sequins.

THE “GREAT SAVE” BELOW

Here’s the inside…

This is such a nice baby card, but I made two and I’m sending them to my daughter and son.  They’ll have a surprise in their mailboxes this week.  They’re both thirty-something, but still my Moon Babies!

So, grab some ink, a blender pen, a cute stamp and create something adorable!
