I’m in front of my computer and my fingers are on the keyboard ready to type words of stamping wisdom. The problem is, I don’t know what to say! What do you say about such beautiful art on a card. I suppose I’ll have to talk about the paper and see where it goes from there.
First, I didn’t paint those flowers. Second, this is probably the easiest and quickest card I have ever put together. In my last post featuring the Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper, I used a whitewashed background design. This is one of the floral designs from the same paper pack. I could go on and on about the stunning floral and on trend designs featured in the new Fine Art Floral Suite, but I won’t have to do that today. Today it’s okay for me to add Stampin’ Up!’s pictures to this post so you can see every beautiful product in this Suite.
I Put It All Together!
Although I didn’t paint these flowers, I did strategically cut the DSP so it would appear that I either painted or stamped the design. I added the floral layer to a Balmy Blue cardstock layer and attached them to a Night of Navy A-2 card base.
When I thought about adding a sentiment, I just couldn’t create a sentiment banner or layer or punched sentiment tag. I thought that would take your eye away from the painted flowers. Embossing was the technique that would work perfectly on this card, so I heat embossed the sentiment in white.
This card needed embellishment but I had to be careful with that. I wanted the embellishment to be noticed but didn’t want to draw attention away from the patterned paper. A white embellishment was my first thought. Then I remembered I had the Frosted and Clear Epoxy Droplets. They worked for me. They’re subtle but add that little extra something! Don’t you agree?
So, get some hand painted patterned paper, cut a few cardstock layers, emboss a sentiment, add a droplet or two and create something pretty!
…the only limitation is your imagination!

Ahh blue, my favorite color! I absolutely love the look of this card and colors it’s amazing.
Thank you, Monica. I love this one, too and blue is my favorite color, too!
I have made several cards from this paper pack but haven’t used the “blue” papers yet. Love the card with its simplicity. The sentiment embossed in white was the right touch.
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment, Linda.
Don’t you just love a card where the paper does the hard work for you?! You can still take the credit for putting together though Debbie – so pretty!
Hi Joanne, thank you so much for your time and kindness! This paper is so beautiful, I couldn’t use it for anything else but this.

Hi Cyndi. Thank you, but I can only take the credit for putting it together. This paper is over the moon gorgeous!
