It’s Sunday. Time for the Paper Players Blog Challenge.  Anne Marie is our host this week.  Her Clean & Simple Challenge theme is polka dots.  Polka dots are always on trend.  Clean and Simple is a card with minimal layers, little or no embellishments and lots of clean white space.

Today’s post features the Bloom Where You’re Planted Suite I used the Perfect Plants Dies, Bloom Where You’re Planted Designer Series Paper and Thick Basic White cardstock for my card.  My polka dot embossing folder, which has made many trips through my cutting machine, is also featured here today.

  • I die cut both the plant pot and plant directly from the patterned paper.
  • The macrame die makes it easy to create a “hanging plant”.
  • I die cut the macrame plant hanger from Crumb Cake card stock and sponged it lightly with crumb cake ink for a bit more dimension.
  • I lined the back of the macrame plant hanger with glue from my fine tip glue pen then attached the pot and the plant to the plant hanger from the back.
  • This made it easier to position the plant and plant pot.
  • The “hanging plant” is attached to my card with Dimensionals.
  • The sentiment, from Pansy Patch, is stamped with Crumb Cake ink and attached with Mini Dimensionals.

This Clean and Simple card is also quick and easy.

So, find some fun polka dots, add a few die cuts and a sentiment and create something clean and simple to link up with us over at the Paper Players.

…the only limitation is your imagination!
