Happy Wednesday!

Today’s post is about CASEing.  CASE is an acronym for Copy And Share Everything. I share posts on this subject because I enjoy CASEing on occasion.

Why Do I CASE?

Below are a few reasons I create a CASE project:

  • To get inspiration when my creativity runs low.
  • I see something I want to re-create because I really like it.
  • I CASE to learn a new technique.

Today’s CASE is from the current Annual Catalog which is full of wonderful inspiration.  The first time I looked through the catalog, I noticed the card on page 22.  The black and white patterned paper paired with Petal Pink cardstock and lots of white got my attention.  I recreated the card and enjoyed the process.

Stampin’ Up!’s card uses the Dragonfly Garden Bundle.  I used the Garden Wishes stamp set and the Dandy Wishes Dies.  The stamps and sentiments in both stamp sets are similar.  I used the same Designer Series Paper, Petal Pink cardstock and Baker’s Twine that was featured in the catalog version.  Both cards feature a heat embossed background which is something I haven’t done in a while.  It was fun to pull out my heat tool and embossing powders.

So, if you just want to have some down time in your craft space and don’t know where to start, take a look through the current catalog.  I’m sure you’ll find something you can recreate. If you don’t have the products featured or you only have a few, go on an adventure through your stash to see what you can substitute.  CASEing is fun!

I would welcome you to CASE my card today.  Have fun with it, and remember…

…the only limitation is your imagination!
