Hi Friends!  It’s time again for another Paper Players blog challenge.  This week, Laurie has a sketch challenge for us.  Sketch challenges are always a great source of inspiration. They’re a fun way to spark your creativity.  Use your favorite colors, add in some special patterned paper and create your original.

I don’t have anything like the What’s Cookin’ Bundle in my collection, so I made sure this was on the top of my Wish List.  The images and sentiments are perfect for tagging baked goodies, designing recipe cards or creating a simple card to reach out to someone.

My card today is a simple So Saffron cardstock base.  The black and white buffalo check patterned paper is a good neutral background for my cutting board, bowl, spatula and whisk. These are all die cut with the matching Cookin’ Dies.  The stamped bowl would probably look good in red, too!  I’m happy with the Bermuda Bay and So Saffron combination but it’s fun to imagine another color.

Below are the layer dimensions for today’s card. Feel free to use them for the sketch challenge.

  • The card base is a standard A-2 Tent Fold card.  8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″.
  • The Basic White large layer is 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″.
  • I cut the patterned paper layer 4″ x 5 1/4″.
  • The smaller So Saffron layer is 2 3/4″ x 4 1/8″.
  • The smaller Basic White layer is 2 5/8″ x 4″

Have fun with the sketch and link up with us over at the Paper Players.  We always enjoy seeing your beautiful designs.

…the only limitation is your imagination!
