As soon as I saw the Ranunculus Romance stamp se, I knew I had to have it.  I think this Ranunculus is one of the most beautiful flowers. It blooms in early spring and is a wonderful addition to any vase in your home.

When I first inked up this stamp, I used a few Blends to add color. Then I went to my “go to” coloring – Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen. It didn’t work for me.  The image in the stamp is so perfectly done, I couldn’t use color.  In fact, I lightly stamped it to appreciate the intricacies of the flower. The background images in the stamp set are also fabulous.  I can see a beautiful Vintage themed card.  In fact, I might have to get one onto a blog post.

The charm of this image led me to use the patterned paper from the Heart & Home Designer Series Paper.  The blue and white pattern reminds me of old world Dresden china.  It’s a good match for the stamped image.  The patterned paper covers the entire card front.  I used my Scalloped Contour Dies to frame the stamped image and added a small sentiment from the stamp set.

There’s an elegance about this card but it is quick and easy to put together.  As simple as this card is, it is a definite favorite of mine.

So, find that beautiful flower, add a great patterned paper layer and create something pretty!

…the only limitation is your imagination!
