Hello Friends and happy day to you.
This card is quick and easy. The New Horizons Designer Series Paper does all the work. Each pattern design is a watercolor work of art! There were a few horizon designs I could have used for the sailboats. I wanted to keep the colors simple and chose this one.
A Tip And A Trick
- I cut a Blackberry Bliss card base at 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″.
- Score the card base at 4 1/4″.
- There’s a Basic White mat layer that measures 3″ 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ which will frame the patterned paper layer.
- The patterned paper layer is 3 3/4″ x 5″.
- There are four sailboats stamped with Night of Navy ink on the blue horizon.
- I wanted to give the illusion of the sailboats sailing away toward a new adventure.
- It stamped the sailboat on the left first.
- I stamped the second sailboat from the left, slightly lower than the first.
- The third sailboat is even lower… it’s further out to sea!
- The fourth is leading the pack!
- I used a scrap of paper to cover the patterned paper, then stamped the image.
- Below is a photo I snapped so you would have a visual.
- I love the sentiments for this card. “Congrats” on the front and “Set sail in the direction of your dreams” inside.
- Perfect for a graduation, promotion or any new endeavor.
So, find or create a great horizon, add a few sailboats and create something adventurous!
… the only limitation is your imagination!
