Hi and hope your day is fun and full of inspiration!

Today’s card showcases the Art Gallery stamp set and Floral Gallery Dies. And they’re coming back again! They’re in the new catalog. I have a Stampin’ Story to share.

Today’s Stampin’ Story

This past weekend was hectic for me. I didn’t spend my usual time in my craft room. The last card I made used the Pattern Party Designer Serie Paper. Not clearing my craft space, the black and white striped pattern was right there when I sat down. I thought I would use it, but needed a large image or sentiment to work with the bold stripes.

Art Gallery has the large flower and stem image I thought would be a perfect fit. The flower is a two-step stamp. I stamped the base image with Sop Saffron ink and the overlay image with Bumblebee ink. (Bumblebee is a gorgeous yellow that is retiring, so grab it if you still can. Remember, when in doubt, go with a yellow – it’s a great neutral).

I was so pleased with the outcome. Below is my original version. Clean!

I Stepped It Up

  • I wanted to use the large sentiment dies, thinking they would look really sharp with the wide striped pattern.
  • The large sentiment is die cut in both Basic Black and Thick Basic White cardstock.
  • When you are die cutting sentiments like this, it makes a positive difference using thick cardstock.
  • They’re nested on each other slightly offset to create a shadow.
  • I used Dimensionals and Mini Dimensionals to adhere the flower and the die cut sentiment on the card front.

So, find a bold stripe pattern, add a large flower and sentiment and create something to say “thank you”!

… the only limitation is your imagination!
