Hope you’re having a great day! And, by the way… Happy Fall!  As I’m writing this post, I’m realizing you’ll be reading it on the first day of the Fall Season! Happy Fall!

A few posts back, I created a holiday card using the Leaves of Holly Bundle. I enjoyed playing with the large dies and the amazing Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper. I was inspired by the color palette in the Designer Series Paper. The shades of greens and reds are stunning against the neutral background. The concept artists over at Stampin’ Up! added the pops of white beautifully.

Today’s Card Pieces & Parts

  • I cut a Sahara Sand card base 4 1/4″ x 11″ and scored it at 5 1/2″.
  • The Evening Evergreen Ombre Designer Series Paper layer is 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″.
  • I created a frame using the DSP and two Stitched Rectangle dies. The outside of the frame measures 3″ x 4 1/2″.
  • The center opening in the frame measures 1 7/8″ x 3 1/8″.
  • You can cut the frame with your paper cutter, or match the dies to the measurements.
  • The Sahara Sand mat layer for the frame is 3 1/8″ x 4 5/8″.
  • I cut a piece of Soft Succulent cardstock that measures 2 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ and attached it to the back of the frame.
  • The sentiment layer, holly berries and holly leaves background are all die cut with dies from the Holly Berry Dies.
  • I die cut the Soft Succulent twigs with dies in the Bundle, as well.
  • I stamped the sentiment with Evening Evergreen ink.
  • Red Rhinestone Jewels from the Annual Catalog give this card a little sparkle.

Once you have all of your layers cut and die cuts ready, this design comes together quickly.

So, cut some layers, add some amazing patterned paper and a stunning sentiment die cut and create something to share holiday greetings!

… the only limitation is your imagination!
