After seeing this card, I don’t think a Valentine’s Day card has to have a heart on it. Lee, one of my Team members, shared this card with me. It’s simple and stunning! She certainly showcased the Love For You Bundle beautifully. Adding the watercolor art from the Fancy Flora Designer Series Paper truly makes this card special.
I don’t have a “Pieces And Parts” photo for you, but I can show you how easy this card is to put together.
Let’s Make A Card
- Cut an Evening Evergreen card base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and score at 4 1/4″.
- Lee used the beautiful Distressed Gold Specialty Paper to create her base layer. It measures 3 1/4″ x 5 1/4″.
- The Fancy Flora Designer Series Paper layer measures 3″ x 5″.
- There is a Basic White writing layer on the inside of the card.
- The large, shadowed sentiment is cut from the dies included in the Love For You Bundle.
- Evening Evergreen cardstock hosts the shadow die and “love you” is die cut using the two word dies and the Distressed Gold DSP.
- Lee used one of the Foam Adhesive Sheets to die cut the words.
- This is a great idea, since the Adhesive Sheet would make it very easy to adhere the Distressed Gold patterned paper on the top, and to the shadow die on the bottom. No Glue! This little technique also gives texture and dimension. Brilliant!
- The two-(or three)step stamping on the little flowers is perfectly done using Soft Succulent for the flower base, Evening Evergreen for the flower shading stamp, and Crushed Curry for the center of the flower.
- The flowers are all die cut using the matching die from the Bunbdle.
The Fancy Flora Designer Series Paper has so many beautiful patterns. Imagine this card done in Starry Sky, Pool Party, Petal Pink, and Fresh Freesia? I think I’ll try it with the Two Tone Flora Bundle. Stay tuned! My version of this card might turn up here this week. Thank you for your inspiration, Lee.
