Today’s post is a throwback to some inspiration I showcased here almost a year ago. I’ve been close to obsessed with the Sending Cheer Bundle, and when I saw the Shining Christmas Designer Series Paper in our new Online Exclusives, I knew I would have to put this card together again. To me, it’s like peanut butter and chocolate – a perfectly coordinated fit – Designer Series Paper and die cut elements!
I’ve called this design a “Flip Flop Fun Fold”, but I’ve also heard it called a “Joy Fold Fun Fold”. Either way, it’s a great design and perfect for your holiday gift giving. It’s also a gift card holder!
The gift card holder portion of the card is a die cut from the Mini Pocket Envelope Dies (item # 159167). It assembles in seconds, and is the perfect size for the inside flap of this Joy Fold Fun Fold.

So, let’s make a card!

Today’s Card Parts & Pieces

- Cut a Cherry Cobbler card base 4 1/4″ x 8 1/4″”. Score at 2 3/4″ on the long side. Fold on the score line toward the center of the card. This is your main card base with the front left side flap.
- Cut a second Cherry Cobbler card base 3 1/4″ x 8 1/2″. Score at 4 1/4″. This is the inside flap card layer.
- Basic White layers:
- Cut 1 at 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ – this is for the mat inside card layer.
- Cut 1 at 2 5/8″ x 4 1/8″ – this is for the front left panel mat layer.
- Cut 3 layers at 3 1/8″ x 4 1/8″. These are for the front flap panel and the two inside small card panels.
- Patterned paper layers:
- Cut 1 layer 4″ x 3″ for the front flap of the small card.
- Cut the second layer at 2 1/2″ x 4″. This is for the left front panel.
- Cut a coordinating piece of patterned paper (I used the Cherry Cobbler Polka Dot pattern) 4″ x 5 1/4″. This is for the inside card base.
- You will aldo need a piece of 4 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ patterned paper for the gift card holder.
- Die cuts and stamping:
- Die cut a tag from the Sending Cheer Dies using Basic White cardstock.
- Stamp and die cut the Cherry Cobbler gift box and die cut the gift bow using Basic White cardstock.
Assembling this card is easy, lay out the larger card base, place your layers in the sections that match, according to the layer measurements, beginning with the Basic White layers. Next, place your patterned paper layers on top of the Basic White layers. I used liquid glue.
The die cut gift box is attached with dimensionals, along with the sentiment tag. I added a few silver Festive Pearle for some sparkle.

The card fits perfectly into a Medium Envelope.

So, add a gift card holder, and pretty package to some Shining Christmas Designer Series Paper, and create a pretty handmade “gift” for someone special.
… the only limitation is your imagination!
