Hello, and I wish you all a happy October! Although we’re celebrating Autumn – the trees are changing colors here and the leaves are beginning to fall – I decided to showcase a pattern from the Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper. This pattern spoke to me. The peacefulness of the white deer inspired me to put together this quick and easy card.

The Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper is stunning. The handpainted nature themes make perfect background layers for card fronts.

I paired this pattern with the Forever Forest Dies. The die cut trees coordinate nicely with the painted trees in the patterned paper.

So, let’s make a card!

Today’s Card Parts & Pieces

  • Cut a Thick Basic White cardstock card base 11″ x 4 1/4″, and score it at 5 1/2″ on the long side.
  • The Basic Black cardstock mat layer is 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″.
  • The patterned paper layer is 3 3/4″ x 5″.
  • I die cut three trees from the Forever Forest Dies.
  • Stamp the “Joyful” sentiment using Tuxedo Black Memento ink.
  • I stamped the inside sentiment using a stamp from the Horse & Sleigh stamp set and Tuxedo Black Memento ink.
  • The tree on the inside of the card is stamped off once using Smoky Slate ink.
  • I added a few silver Festive Pearls for some sparkle.

There are two 12″ x 12″ sheets of the deer design in the Winter Meadow DSP pack. You can easily cut six card fronts from one sheet. This card design is a quick and easy way to cut, assemble, and send some winter warmth to family and friends.

… the only limitation is your imagination!
