Hello! Wouldn’t you love to receive this card in the mail and know that someone is thinking of you?

I’m featuring one of the patterns from the Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper. This huge paper pack is free with a $50 product purchase now through February 29th. It’s one of the More To Sale-A-Brate add-ons. The product add-ons are in the PDF Flyer you can download below.

The Everyday Details Bundle was still on my craft desk when I sat down to make another card. I decided to use the flower and vase image. The detail in the vase reminded me of the pattern in this DSP, so I went with it. This was the beginning of this design. Adding color to the stamped image was the next step. Keeping the colors bright, I used Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide and Daffodil Delight Blends.

As you can see in my photo below, the vase on today’s card was my final version. I inked the first version with Daffodil Delight, but thought Parakeet Party would be a better color choice. I fussy cut the first version of my vase and used it as a mask to keep the ink blending off the vase and flowers. Masking the stamped image was a quick and easy add-on to this design.

So, let’s make a card!

  • The Basic White cardstock card base is 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″.
  • The Parakeet Party cardstock layer is 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″.
  • I cut the patterned paper layer 4″ x 5 1/4″.
  • The stamped image is on a Basic White cardstock layer, cut with a rectangle die from the Everyday Details Dies. It measures about 2 1/4″ x 3 3/4″.
  • The Parakeet Party cardstock offset layer also measures 2 1/4″ x 3 3/4″.

I thought a larger sentiment would take away from the vase. I found this small “hello” with the coordinating die in the Wonderful Thoughts Bundle. A few Parakeet Party Matte Dots finished the design.

So, find a bold piece of patterned paper, add white and bright colors, and create something to say “hello”.
