It’s been a while since I’ve done a Clean And Simple (CAS) card. A Clean And Simple card has lots of white space, minimal layers and little or no embellishments.

My card evolved from this color block design in the Ful of Life Designer Series Paper. I planned to go in a completely different direction, but something led me to keep it clean and simple. I originally thought I would use more layers. In my Product Premier for this Suite, I die cut the large heart in the Friends For Life Dies. The outline heart featured in my card is the frame from the heart dies that I didn’t use in my last card. You cas see the original post here.

I always save die cuts I don’t use, so I had the heart and just for fun, I placed it over the cut squares. It looked good! I die cut the smaller heart and added a few of the sparkly Iridescent Faceted Gems.

The sentiment is from the Friends For Life Stamp Set and worked well with the simple focal point.

Pieces And Parts

• The Basic White cardstock card base is 11″x 4 1/4″, scored at 5 1/2″.
• I cut the Peach Pie cardstock square is 2 1/4″.
• The color block paterned paper square is 2 1/8″.
• The large white heart frame is die cut using the Friends For Life Dies.
• I also die cut the smaller Melon Mambo heart using the Friends For Life Dies.

So, cut two small squares, add a large die cut element, stamp a sentiment and create a fun card to send good thoughts to someone special.
