Just Checking In On Mediterranean Blooms

I’m excited to share the beautiful designs in the Mediterranean Blooms 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper.

One of my standard comments when I open a new Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper Pack is, “It’s beautiful!”. The truth of the matter is that it always is! The Mediterranean Blooms Designer Series Paper is inspired by the captivating beauty of the Mediterranean Region. The hand painted citrus designs take you to a place where lemons and oranges kiss a background of crystal blue water.

The handpainted blue and white tiled patterns are identical to the gleaming floors and hidden walkways of the Mediterranean Region, and they are perfect for backgrounds on your projects.

My card shows off one of the tiled patterns, and one of the citrus blooms I die cut directly from the patterned paper. The watercolored detail in the fruit is amazing!

So, let’s make a card.

Pieces And Parts

I cut a Night of Navy cardstock card base 4 1/4″ x 11″, and scored it at 5 1/2″.
The Basic White mat layer is 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″.
I cut the patterned paper layer 4″ x 5 1/4″.
The small Basic White cardstock top layers measure 3/4″ x 3 1/2″. I cut three of them.
I rounded the top right and bottom left corners of each of the white background strips.
The layers are adhered to the card base with liquid glue.
I attached the Basic White strips with Dimensionals.
I added three coordinating Opal Rounds to embellish.
I stamped the sentiments using Night of Navy ink.

I chose a simple design today to showcase the patterned paper. There are so many beautiful patterns you can mix and match to create your unique design. Click the image below for a closer look at the patterns.
