I thought it would be fun to mix some Bundles to see what I could come up with for my post today.
Here’s the story.
I remembered that I hadn’t cut my Regal Distressed Patterns DSP, so I went right to it. I chose the Cherry Cobbler and Gold dietressed linear pattern to start. My container with the punch outs was still on my craft table. I used some of the wreaths in yesterday’s post. On top of the remaining punch-outs was a grouping of Christmas presents. Perfect! Now I had my inspiration. Below is a photo of the “Christmas presents” inspiration.
I die cut the presents from the Reindeer Fun Dies. Since I was using the Regal Distressed Patterns DSP from the Regal Winter Suite, I decided to use the large label die from the Regal Flora Bundle. It worked nicely as a focal point layer for my die cut presents.
The big question remained. Should I emboss the “Merry Christmas” sentiment in white or gold. In hindsight, white would have given me more of a color balance, but the gold works, and I wanted to try out my new WOW Gold Embossing Powder. Love it!
This card was quick and easy to put together. I hope you enjoy this Bundle mix and my “Stampin’ Story”.
I started my card with one piece of patterned paper and built on it. You never know where a simple element of inspiration will take you.
So, find that one stamp, die, or piece of patterned paper. Look around and see if something inspires you. Build on it. You never know where it will go, but the outcome will always be pretty.
… the only limitation is your imagination!
