Happy Sunday! We have a new challenge for you over at the Paper Players. Our very creative Joanne is our host this week. She has a Clean and Simple Challenge for us mixed with some fruit and berries. You can choose either or both for your card bur remember the Clean and Simple card rules. Use minimal layers with little or no embellishments and create your card with lots of white space.
There’s nothing like a ripe, sweet strawberry, especially during the summer season. My card today is one of those ripe, sweet strawberries just for you.
To have some fun with Joanne’s Clean and Simple Theme Challenge, I chose to use stamps from the Sweet Strawberry stamp set. The sentiment, leaves and flowers are stamped with Soft Suede ink and shaded using Poppy Parade, So Saffron and Mossy Meadow Blends. The strawberry is a two step stamp. I stamped the outline image with Soft Suede ink. The layer stamp is stamped with Real Red ink and nicely fills in the strawberry.
I added a lot of color to my stamped images which helped show off all of the white space on this single layer card. I refrained from adding any embellishments since I did have a lot of color. This kept my card clean and simple without a doubt.
So, find the freshest fruit in your stamp stash, add lots of color to a white card base and create something clean and simple to link up with us over at the Paper Players.
…the only limitation is your imagination!
Awesome CAS card!! Love the coloring too.
I love the clean simplicity of this card and the colors are so pretty!
Well, you NAILED this CAS challenge! Your pretty strawberry takes center stage and it is beautifully colored as well! Yummy!
LeAnne took the words out of my mouth! This is CAS perfection! Amazing card Debbie!
Fabulously CAS Debbie! I love the way you created a tight cluster if images in the centre of your card to really showcase the surrounding white space. Great job!
I’m jealous of how clean your strawberry image looks! Mine gets kind of splotchy so I haven’t used it much! I really love the simplicity of just the one layer and the berry popped up; this would be a fantastic notecard set for a gift! Take Care!
Wow Debbie, I just had to come and tell you how much I’ve been admiring your berry card! All the elements have been laid out so beautifully – just so inspiring! Vicky x
Very nice CAS card. We have a strawberry grower here locally and I wait all year for their berries. They are the bomb. Your card is making me want to go eat some more of those berries.
Absolutely CAS perfection, Debbie! The colors are so vivid and striking. You hit this one out of the park for sure!!!
Simply stunning, Debbie! I love how the image and the colors really pop on the clean background. Wowza!
This card is CAS perfection! I love how the bright colors just pop off the white! That strawberry looks delicious!
