It's been a little crazy in my household lately with the upcoming marriage of my daughter…it's days away and I know the time will go very quickly. My brain's been in overdrive with the remaining details, but I wanted to get another blog post up…so here's today's project.
The Eastern Elegance Designer Series Paper is beautiful. Very trendy color combinations make it so much fun to use. This striking color combination is Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry and Baked Brown Sugar.
I did a little coloring with my Blender Pen and a little cropping with my Ovals Collection framelits. No embellishment needed here. These detailed, fun stamps do all the necessary work.
Stampin' Up! Supplies Used: Cardstock – Whisper White, Baked Brown Sugar, Eastern Elegance DSP. Ink – Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry. Stamp Set – Best of Brides and Babies. Tools – Ovals Collection Framelits, Stampin' Dimensionals, Blender Pen.
Another Paper Players Challenge. This week's Theme Challenge is Clean and Simple Buttons & Bows For Baby.
This card was a snap to put together. It's definitely clean, simple, quick and easy. I used my favorite Print Poetry Designer Series Paper and featured Primrose Petals as my accent color.
The little flower buttons are anchoring my flagged banner, which is held up with some Linen Thread and attached with a few Stampin' Dimensionals. The Summer Starfruit and Primrose Petals polka dots are a great accent to the natural vibe of the linen thread. My little "flags" were cropped using Hearts A Flutter framelits.
The "Baby" sentiment is from the One In A Million stamp set, stamped onto Very Vanilla card stock with Primrose Petals ink. I layered the Decorative Label punched sentiment with Primrose Petals card stock, just to give that layer some definition.
Here is the inside sentiment, " a little word filled with a lot of HAPPINESS, also from the One In A Million stamp set.
A pretty, clean and simple card for a new baby girl.
Here's another version of this card which I made and its "companion card" which I posted a few weeks ago.
Aren't they precious?
I am very excited that my card for last week's Paper Players Color Challenge was chosen "A Cut Above". Thank you, thank you Paper Players, and Nance, and I so enjoyed that challenge. The colors were bold, bright and fun!
I designed this card to celebrate the arrival of my friend's new grandson. Pretty and soft Baja Breeze along with bold and juicy Summer Starfruit…a unique combination to welcome a new baby.
The Whisper White Stitched Grosgrain ribbon and mini hand cropped butterfly are the only embellishments this card needs. I rounded the corners on the layered mats to give the card an even softer look.
Stampin' Up! Supplies: Stamp Sets: One In A Million (#126382); Four Seasons Hotess Set for Butterfly (#126832); Cardstock: Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Patio Party DSP (#126916), 2012-2014 In Colors DSP Stack (#126910). Ink: Summer Starfruit; Tools: Decorative Label Punch (#120907), Petite Pennants Builder Punch (#122361), 3/16" Corner Round Punch (#119871); Embellishments: 1/4" Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon (#126877).
This card is for the soon-to-arrive Grandaughter of a very old friend…we went all through school together… since Kindergarten. She can’t wait for little Julia to arrive! I’m so excited and very happy for her and was thinking about all those fun times we shared together as I was making this card. I really enjoy sharing such good news!
The Stampin’ Up! card stock used for this card is Primrose Petals and Whisper White. I mixed in a little Primrose Petals Polka Dot Designer Series Paper and used my favorite Primrose Petals Stitched Satin Ribbon for the bow. I love the Labels Collection Framelits with the Paper Piercing…just gives the frame a little bounce! Those designer pearls are so pretty!
Here is the inside of the card:
The stamp sets are “One In A Million” and “Embellished Events”.
Be sure to check in tomorrow. I will feature another card made with the “Embellished Events” stamp set.
