Hello friends and happy Tuesday to you!
I went off the grid for today’s post and here’s my Stampin’ Story…
It’s a rare occasion that I don’t use Stampin’ Up! products for my blog projects, but I really wanted to share this card. I’m sure this won’t come as a surprise to you, but I have a decent amount of patterned paper tucked away in my craft room. My friend and team member, Barbara, came over last week to do some stamping. She brought over the Tea Together stamp set and the Tea Time Dies. I don’t own either of them so naturally, I wanted to “play”. This stamp set is so pretty.
Keeping in line with the natural order of my creative process, I already made up my mind that I was going to use the tea pot but I wasn’t sure how. My patterned paper stash came out and several pieces made their way to the floor… I always sit on the floor when I’m matching my patterned paper, it’s part of my process! So, the patterned paper for today’s project is not Stampin’ Up!, but I thought it was such a good fit for the lines of the tea pot image.
This was another quick card to put together. The tea pot image was stamped with Versa Mark and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I stamped the sentiment with Soft Suede ink. Soft Suede is a great color to pair with the warm pinks and corals because it’s a warm brown.
I don’t have a color palette posted today, but I did use Blushing Bride card stock as a mat for the patterned paper layers.
So, grab a beautiful tea pot image, match up some patterned paper and create something pretty!

A favorite “latest and greatest” of mine is the clean and classy “Come Sail Away” Suite featured in Stampin’ Up!’s 2019-2020 Annual Catalog.
Those of you who have followed my blog know that I am truly a patterned paper junkie. I love to mix and match patterns for my projects and did I have a fun time creating this card!! The neutrals and blues in combination have always been a favorite of mine; so much so that I chose these colors to decorate my home. I also enjoy being at the beach and near water, so the Come Sail Away Suite had to be at the top of my wish list as soon as I saw it.

Here’s the quick “how to” for this classy masculine birthday card.
- I started with an A-2 size Whisper White card base.
- The Night of Navy card layer is 4 1/4″ X 5 1/2″.
- The vertical striped patterned layer is 4″ X 5 1/4″.
- The newsprint patterned layer is 3″ X 4 1/4″ which is attached to a 3 1/8″ X 4 3/8″ Night of Navy mat.
- The lighthouse patterned card band is 1 5/8″ X 4″ attached to a 1 3/4″ X 4″ Night of Navy mat.
- I cropped the rope framelit from the suite in some older brushed gold card stock and framed the lighthouse patterned paper to give it a more finished look. By the way, that little rope framelit also embosses. The texture it gives the rope edge is perfect!
- I fussy cut the Night of Navy compass from a piece of the Designer Series Paper, stamped a smaller compass with Crumb Cake ink and punched it out with my 1 1/2″ circle punch. The Night of Navy/Sahara Sand Baker’s Twine is also part of the Suite, and of course, no card is complete without the bling. One of the gold metallic pearls worked perfectly for the center of my compass.
- Since I wanted to create a masculine birthday card, I borrowed the sentiment from an older retired stamp set. I thought the clean simplicity of the sentiment worked well with the overall theme of the card.
So, grab yourself a classy, clean stamp set, crop some patterned paper, don’t forget your bling and create something stunning!!

Today’s project is quick, easy and I think it’s quite eye catching.
It wasn’t me who created that beautiful water color background, it was Stampin’ Up!. The top layer is simply a card from the Delightfully Detailed Memories and More Card Pack. You can create your own projects in just a few minutes. Cut a few card bases as I did for this card, or pick up the matching Delightfully Detailed Note Cards and Envelopes use your imagination to create a bunch of beautifully detailed cards. And, of course, don’t forget the bling! The coordinating Faceted Dots add the perfect finishing touch.
Here’s another sample of a card using the Delightfully Detailed Memories and More Card Pack. I did get a little carried away playing with the paper patterns and just had to use that grid paper!
The Card pack includes:
- 50 double-sided cards
- 6 single-sided laser-cut specialty cards
- 4 sticker sheets
- Coordinating colors: Basic Black, Blackberry Bliss, Grapefruit Grove, Mint Macaron, and white.
So, grab your favorite layer, add a card base and a little bling and create something simple and sweet!
A very special friend is celebrating her birthday on Friday. I thought this card would be a perfect way to say “Happy Birthday”.
The Basic Black card base and layer make a nice neutral canvas for the beautiful colors in the patterned paper. The patterned paper is from “Whole Lot of Lovely” Designer Series Paper and is one of the selections in the Designer Series Paper Sale going on now at Stampin’ Up!. The patterns range from pretty, delicate florals to colorful, bolder stripes and dots. I used Powder Pink card stock as an accent color for this card. That Gold Faceted Gem adds just the right amount of sparkle.
So grab your Basic Black card stock, add some pretty patterned paper and a bold sentiment, crop a few flagged banners, and create something amazing!

Here’s a clean and simple birthday card that you can put together in just a few minutes. This card is just stamps, paper and ink… and your Big Shot will get a good work-out.
This project showcases the Flower Patch stamp set from the current Annual Catalog. The Flower Patch stamp set features large images which are perfect to create the clean and simple collage look I wanted. I quickly and easily cropped all the images with the matching Flower Fair Framelits Dies and my Big Shot.
Pink Pirouette and Sahara Sand is one of my favorite color combinations. They’re both cool and soft, but because the stamped flowers are large and bold, I thought I needed a little pop of bold color. Sweet Sugarplum was my choice. It works beautifully with both Pink Pirouette and Sahara Sand. The “Happy Birthday” sentiment is stamped with Sweet Sugarplum ink onto a hand cropped flagged banner.
I layered my stamped elements onto a cropped Stitched Square and attached the focal point to my card layer with dimensionals. Easy, easy, easy…
So, crop a few large flowers, bunch them all together, mount them on a square and create something bold!
