It’s Friday! I hope you can make some time to “celebrate you” this weekend!
Look at the stamped balloon images. Don’t they look real? The balloons are one of the stamps from the Penguin Place Stamp Set. I’m not actually showcasing the Penguin Place Bundle today. I have a project ready for that soon. Today, I’m showcasing the Create With Friends stamp set from the Annual Catalog.
I had to get ink on these stamps and I thought there was no better way than to pair Create With Friends with Penguin Place and add a little slice of the Beautifully Penned Designer Series Paper from Sale-A-Bration. And that’s exactly what I promote Stampin’ Up! . You can mix and match and you’ll always have a great outcome. By the way, I’m also showing off almost all of the new In Colors ink.
Here’s the simple “How To” for today’s card:
- I used a Thick Basic White card base cut 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/2″.
- The Basic Black card layer is 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″. I like to use thin layers but if you feel more comfortable cutting a wider layer, that’s fine.
- The patterned paper layer is 4″ x 5 1/4″.
- The Basic Black center layer is 4 1/8″ x 2 7/8″.
- The Basic White top layer is slightly smaller. It’s 4″ x 2 3/4″.
- Design Tip: It’s easier to do a “fun layer” as I call it, or an offset layer if your bottom is cut slightly larger than the top. You’ll get more color exposure and it’ll be easier to angle your layer. Give it a try. It works.
- I stamped my sentiment with my Stamparatus and stamped and fussy cut the balloons.
- My layers are attached to each other with Multipurpose Glue. I like using it because it does give you a little time to set your layers.
Here’s a suggestion.
Purchase the “Create With Friends” stamp set along with the Penguin Place Bundle, and add in a bottle of Multipurpose Glue, you can get the Beautifully Penned Designer Series Paper absolutely FREE. You can create projects galore!
For the product details, you can click on the images below.
And, when you purchase through my website, you will also receive a package of the amazing Metallic Pearls as a gift from me.
So, cut your “fun layers”, add a large sentiment and a few balloons and create something to celebrate you!

Happy Fourth, Friends!
I couldn’t help but to do red, white and blue when I saw Anne Marie’s Theme Challenge for us at the Paper Players.
It’s All About The Inspiration
My inspiration for today’s card came from my last post. I covered the bottom right corner of the top card layer with patterned paper strips. This is very easy and fun to do. I promise I’ll wait a little while before I do it again!
The dies from the Playful Alphabet Dies cut the word “CELEBRATE”. My Daffodil Delight bursts are die cuts from the Dandy Wishes Dies. I embellished my card with little punched stars and added a few Resin Dots for some color balance.
Just looking through my stamps, paper and dies gives me inspiration. Try taking a few minutes to browse through your supplies. There’s no doubt you’ll be able to create something you never thought you could!
So, grab your favorite stars and stripes and create something to celebrate with us over at the Paper Players.

Happy Wednesday friends!
Todays card is a fun, personalized card I made for a new little family member I haven’t yet met. He’s now 2 1/2 years old and I’ll be meeting him today! I put his initial on the cap and matched the colors to his gift packaging.
The “Hats Off” stamp set is definitely one to have. It’s one of those, “thank goodness I got this” stamp sets. I stamped the baseball cap and easily fussy cut it. For some color and design interest, I added a few 1/2″ strips of Poppy Parade cardstock to the bottom corner of my card and finished it off with Daffodil Delight punched stars.
I put this card together in just a few minutes. I die cut the initial on the cap with the Playful Alphabet dies.
The 1/2″ strips of Poppy Parade cardstock were easy to attach to the patterned paper layer. They all measured 5 inches long. I attached the evenly placed strips then trimmed the edges from the back of the patterned paper layer. This helped me get clean, straight cuts.
Pacific Point, Poppy Parade and Daffodil Delight are so much fun to use together.
So, grab your classic patterned paper, add some stripes, a baseball cap and a few stars and create something colorful and fun!

Isn’t it great to start your Monday with a rainbow? And there are two of them. Happy Monday, indeed!
We have a fun week ahead. The customer launch of Stampin’ Up!’s new Annual Catalog is tomorrow. You’ve probably seen so many wonderful Sneak Peeks, but there’s more to come. I can promise you that. I’ll have a downloadable PDF of the new catalog available for you tomorrow and yes, I can now show you pictures of the new products and many more cards for your inspiration. So, stay tuned and keep checking in.
Aren’t these cards the cutest? This month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit is full of bright colors that shout warmer weather and lots of sunshine. I’m not a big fan of shaped cards, but I knew these rainbows would brighten someone’s birthday. I used two of the die cut rainbows from the kit. With Dimensionals, I attached one on a Bermuda Bay card layer and one on Granny Apple Green. The sun sticker had to be at the end of each rainbow which is exactly where the sun should be! I added a little sparkle under the sentiment banner and popped on a few Clear Epoxy Droplets. Two cards in just a few minutes.
There’s plenty more imagination in this Kit. I’m sure I’ll have fun remaking the rest of it. I will share more of it with you.
For more details on the Paper Pumpkin Monthly Kit, click here.
So, find a rainbow, add sunshine at the end, a few colorful layers and some sparkle, and create something colorful and happy!

Good Morning, Sunday! It’s time for another Paper Players Challenge! This week, our fabulous Joanne has a Theme Challenge for us. Joanne is asking us to come up with anything that reminds us of boys. Snails, puppies, superheroes… and the list goes on. We would love to see what you come up with so link up with us and join the fun.
This past week was busy and I didn’t take a look at our Challenge until Friday. When I saw the theme was “boys” what first came to mind was a superhero, a rock star or sports star. My son has grown into a wonderful man, but he still loves sports.
I went into my stamp archives and realized I didn’t have much of anything to create a project for boys. Lots of flowers and frills, but not much for boys. I will remedy that without a doubt, but the word “star” kept coming to me. Ok, “star” it is!! In my eyes, my son is a star, (along with my daughter, of course)! I hope you enjoy my “star” card for boys.
The striped pattern paper was my color inspiration. The piece of colorful striped DSP is from the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper, which is in the new Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. The release is only 2 days away!! My thought was to use primary colors and lots of stars. The sentiment, which I found while digging through my stamp collection, is from an oldie called “Pictogram Punches”. It goes back to 2016 and I thought it would be a perfect fit for this card design. All of the stars except for the embellishments are die cut with my first “star” dies called “Stars Framelits Dies”. I really went back into my archives for this project.
Once again, it was fun to mix the old with the new.
So, go through your stamps, ink and paper and come up with something fun to link up with us over at the Paper Players. We always enjoy your creations!
