Inspired by a Junk Journal Tutorial I saw, I came up with a folio version for a gift card holder. It’s fun to use the Snowy Wonder and Reindeer Fun Bundles for this project, along with the Snowy Wonder and Reindeer Days Designer Series Paper Packs. The Snowy Days and Reindeer Fun Bundles were on top of my Wish List in the September-December Mini Catalog. I got them because of the variety of stamp and coordinating die images. The images are great for little decorative elements. Use them on cards, boxes, and gift card holders (as I’ve used them here). They’re great for creating your customized ephemera. I enjoyed mixing the elements and Designer Series Paper to create these Mini Folio Gift Card Holders.

The PDF Tutorial includes all the cutting dimensions you’ll need to design your version of the Folio Gift Card Holder. I also included the belly band dimensions if you choose to design yours with a belly band closure.
Keep in mind, you can use the belly band, create a magnet closure, or a little latch closure. It’s up to you!

I am excited to showcase the new Light The Year Bundle. It’s in the September-December Mini Catalog on page 41. It’s sweet, simple, and full of possibilities. The mixed font sentiments in the Stamp Set are also sweet, simple and truly send a beautiful message!
The Light The Year Stamp Set is photopolymer. Looking closely at the lanterns, you can see the Stampin’ Up! Design Team did an outstanding job with the designof the lantern images. They have amazing dimension, as do the ribbon bows, candles and pine cones.
I chose to feture two lit lanterns in my element cluster. You can add a third, and maybe a few more pine cones. Creating a set of tags using just a single lantern would be pretty, as well. And, how about a few 3″ x 3″ note cards? This would make a beautiful little gift. There are so many possibilities for the elements in the Light The Year Bundle. I will be showcasing more projects in future posts.
I put together a Video Tutorial to show you how quick and easy it is to put this element cluster togeher. Once you get to know the Bundle, you can create beautiful projects using the lanterns as your focal point. Have fun with color, as well. You can go in so many different directions with these lanterns. Although, this is a holiday card, I think an Autumn themed lantern would be beautiful, as well.
So, let’s make a card!
Pieces And Parts
I cut a Basic Beige cardstock card base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, and scored it at 4 1/4″ on the long side.
The Country Woods DSP top layer for the card front is 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″.
I stamped the lanterns and candles with Pebbled Path ink.
The ribbon bows are stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink, and the pine boughs are stamped with Mossy Meadow ink.
I used a little bit of Lemon Lolly ink and a Sponge Dauber to lightly brish the ink to the inside of the lanterns.
The pine cones are two-step stamping. The linear stamp is stamped with Early Espresso ink and the layering stamp is stamped with Crumb Cake ink.
The filler pieces are die cut using Cherry Cobbler and Mossy Meadow cardstock.
I stamped the sentiment with Pebbled Path ink directly to the DSP card front top layer.
The inside of the cad is stamped with one of the sentiments from the Stamp Set. For a little interest, I added a stamped pine bough.

So, cut your card base, add a top layer of patterned paper, stamp the lanterns, boughs, and pine cones, and create a pretty element cluster. Send it off to family and friends for the holidays.

Here’s my second Sneek Peak at the Regal Winter Product Suite. In my last post using this Suite, I focused on the Regal Winter Designer Series Paper. This card showcases the Regal Winter Bundle, and the Regal Winter Designer Series Paper. All of the patterns in the Designer Series Paper are shown in the DSP swatch below.
Pieces & Parts
This is an A-2 top fold landscape card base. It’s cut 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, and scored at 4 1/4″.
There’s an embossed, Basic White cardstock top layer that measures 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″. It covers the front of the card.
The Wild Wheat layer is die cut using the large Perennial Postage Die. It measures about 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″.
The vellum layer is 2 1/2″ x 3 1/4″.
The floral patterned paper layer is also 2 1/2″ x 3 1/4″.
The outside dimensions of the die cut frame are 2″ x 2 3/4″.
The elements are die cuts from the Regal Flora Bundle.
I cut a Blackberry Bliss patterned paper layer 1/4″ x 3 1/2″.
The sentiment layer is 3/4″ x 3 1/2″.
You can use this simple card design with your favotite patterned paper and die cut elements. It’s simple because everything is attached in the center, using the large patterned paper layer as a guide. I’ve included both a Project Sheet with cutting dimensions and assembly instructions, along with a Video Tutorial you can download to create this card along with me.

I am showcasing the new Full of Life Product Suite. What a fun and full of color amazing Suite it is! My card includes the entire Suite, except for the Iridescent 1/2″ Striped Ribbon Trim. I’ll have a project up with the Trim very soon.
Do you believe this is a quick and easy card to put together? It is. But before I get into that, let’s talk about the product Suite.
The Full Of Life Product Suite
The Full of Life Product Suite is a “happy” Suite focused on friendship. The Friends for life Bundle has a large sentiment stamp and die, and there’s a large “friend” shadow die included in the Die Set. The photopolymer stamp set includes bold images, along with sentiments that you can easily mix and match.
The Full of Life Designer Series Paper is a 6″ x 6″ paper pack that is full of color. It includes all of the colors of the rainbow, and more. The patterns have a watercolor wash look. There are 12 double-sided designs that you can mix and match with your favorite cardstock. The pack includes 48 sheets, four each of 12 designs. This is a paper pack that will work with stand alone Bundles, Dies and stamp sets. It’s one to definitely add to your paper collection.
Let’s Make A Card
I cut a Melon Mambo cardstock card base 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, and scored at 4 1/4″ on the 8 1/2″ side.
The Basic White mat layer is 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″.
The patterned paper layer is 4″ x 5 1/4″. I strategically cut it. Take a look at my Video Tutorial below to see how I cut the patterned paper.
The heart element is die cut using dies from the Friends For Life Bundle.
I also die cut the sentiment using two dies from the Bundle.
I stamped “Hi” with Memento Black ink and hand cropped it.
Use Dimensionals to attach the elements to the card front.
I added a few sparkly gems from the Product Suite.
