Still a little hectic around here lately. My daughter and future son-in-law just closed title on their first home and both Moms have been doing what Moms do best…helping out!
Once again, I'm happy to be writing another blog post. This one's a little different, though.
I'm sure by now you've certainly had your fair share of hexagons. My hexagons today feature all of the new 2013-2015 In Colors: Bermuda Bay, Strawberry Slush, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding and Baked Brown Sugar.
The hexagons were stamped using the Six Sided Sampler stamp set and Hexagon Punch. I purchased these as one of the new "Bundles" and saved 15% along with my regular Demonstrator discount. An inexpensive investment that I'm sure will be a regular "go to" for me.
My showcase card is a little different today, though. This was a featured card at my last Stamp Camp. In past posts, I've talked about our group, and today, you'll get to meet most of them.
We meet monthly. We have loads of laughs…they don't follow direction, they do their own thing and they are very talented and creative. I call them "the renegade group". One of the wonderful things about stamping is that anything goes and they remind me that "…the only limitation is your imagination!".
Let's meet the group.
Here's Georgia….Georgia is also a Stampin' Pretty Pal and designs the most beautiful projects, from decorative boxes to the most gorgeous cards. Georgia taught me Iris Folding. We're all hoping Georgia will have her own blog soon. In any event, we're looking forward to Georgia bringing an Iris Folding project to us in a future Stamp Camp. Congratulations to Georgia on her recent Stampin' Up! promotion.
Here's Judy…Judy is great fun! She's always smiling and is so proud of her children. Judy's daughter also recently bought a first home and has the stampin' bug for sure! Judy spends time stamping with both her sister and daughter and is very talented. Judy's card creations are meticulous. She loves to CASE. She's created sticky note holders and loads of candy wrappers for special occasions, and she designs beautiful Christmas cards. We're hoping to get Judy to create a great holiday project for us at our Holiday Stamp Camp!
Here's Flo…Flo is a long-time stamper. We stamped together many years ago when I was first introduced to Stampin' Up! She's my neighbor, and a Stampin' Pretty Pal! Flo stamps for pure enjoyment. She creates beautiful card designs and gets lots of feedback from her daughter. Flo's daughter also recently bought her first home and is anxiously waiting to move in. Flo does like to CASE, but she'll go renegade on us and do her own thing. She does it very quietly, though. Her cards are gorgeous. Flo loves Stampin' Up!'s inks and I happen to know she loves blues and purples. She's a "cool color" gal. Congratulations to Flo on her recent Stampin' Up! promotion.
Here are the twins, Brittany and Tiffany…and don't ask me which is which. I still get them confused. They are Georgia's daughters and very talented paper crafters. They come to our Stamp Camps with a list of who they need to send cards to and thoughtfully create. They never follow my lead…they always change their cards, from colors to sentiments. They are my renegade leaders. Their individuality and creativity is always contagious!
Well, this is most of our group. There are two missing this time, but I'll be sure to get them next time.
