Today’s post is slightly different from my previous posts.  This pencil box was created by a beautiful young lady who has had to stay home due to our current COVID -19 circumstances here in New Jersey. Rory is a high school Junior and loves music.  She plays piano and guitar and has the singing voice of an angel.  Similar to her peers, she is bored!  It’s interesting how this time has given her the opportunity to explore more of her own creativity.

Rory knows how much I enjoy my creative time and space and texted me a picture of this pencil box.  Of course, I thought it was fabulous and then it occurred to me that this would be a great blog post. Something different and certainly unique. It made me smile and I thought it would make you all smile.

So, when Rory gave me her permission to publish this, I asked her how she made it.  She used a cardboard box, acrylic paints, Studio Series Colored Pencils and images from a Pusheen the Cat Coloring Book!

She painted the background; painted, penciled, and fussy cut images from the coloring book and put them all together in a most interesting combination. Take a look at her fussy cutting!!!

Below is the box before her imagination took over… just paint.  In Stampin’ Up! colors, this would be Real Red and Pool Party with an accent of Daffodil Delight; a very “happy” combination.

Here’s a view of the side of the box… just an ordinary box turned into an amazing pencil holder.

When I wanted to begin sharing creativity through blogging many years ago, I wasn’t sure what to call my blog.  I talked about it with my Sister and her husband and Mark immediately came up with my “expressively deb…” blog title with the tag line, “…the only limitation is your imagination”.

So, this is what it’s all about.  “…the only limitation is your imagination”.

Thank you, Rory, for expressing your imagination so beautifully and allowing me to share your creativity!

Be safe and hugs to you all.
