This card it on its way to my daughter's friend who just had a beautiful baby girl.

I really enjoyed making this card. It's not the typical baby card. I chose the more vibrant Strawberry Slush and paired it with Baked Brown Sugar, both colors from SU's 2013-2015 In Colors Collection.

Since it's for a girl, I embellished with some flowers, a very feminine In Color Boutique Details button in Strawberry Slush, and used Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper…so pretty!

Here's some measurements and a quick "how to":

  • Whisper White standard A-2 card base;
  • First layer of Strawberry Slush card stock is 4" X 5 1/4";
  • Second layer is Baked Brown Sugar DSP and measures 3" X 5 1/4";
  • I created my own tag shape from Gingham Garden DSP (under the oval frame) which measures 3 1/2" X 1 1/2";
  • The Baked Brown Sugar Oval Frame measures 2 1/4" X 3 1/2" – I used an Ovals collection Framelit centered on the Baked Brown Sugar frame and ran it through my Big Shot. It's attached with dimensionals;
  • The "Welcome Baby" sentiment is from the Petite Pairs Stamp Set and stamped onto Whisper White card stock with Strawberry Slush ink;
  • I cropped the sentiment with one of the Itty Bitty Banners Framelits and framed it by hand with some Strawberry Slush card stock. It's attached to the oval frame with mini glue dots;
  • The Strawberry Slush Boutique Details Button is attached to the top of the oval frame with a glue dot;
  • To balance the frame, I created a little embellishment for the bottom using Floral Framelits and Floral Fusion Sizzlits…and, of course, who could resist that adorable little Whisper White Candy Dot!

For this one, I just had to line the envelope. I used SU's new Envelope Liners Framelits and some Polka Dot Strawberry Slush DSP from the 2013-2015 In Colors DSP Stack.

Today, my card has a lot going on.  I hope it gives you some inspiration to use the tools and supplies you have to re-create your version!

Thank you for stopping by today, and Happy Stampin'!
