I thought and thought about what I would do for this week's Freshly Made Sketches Challenge. I wanted to do something for the Holidays since I'm beginning to think about my favorite time of year, so I opened up "Color Me Christmas" and colored.
When I was a young child, I can remember my mother buying me Christmas stencils. I loved to trace the stencils and color them in. While I was working on this card, I could see myself sitting in the kitchen tracing and coloring my stencils… funny how card making can do that… bring back fond memories… and funny how working with this stamp set brought back a childhood memory.
So, back to my card…
Lots of Rose Red and Garden Green layers framed in Whisper White, two pretty colored gift boxes and my sentiment sit in my focal point, and some Garden Green polka dot flagged banners, a Garden Green Designer Button and some Whisper White Baker's Twine all make up my centered "Sweet Spot".
This card was a lot of fun to create. The Color Me Christmas stamp set has bold images that can be inked, colored or embossed, and beautifully embellished to create a masterpiece for the Holidays.
