Happy Saturday!
With Stampin' Up!'s soon to launch Spring Catalog and Sale-A-Bration in it's wake, there'll be lots of new coming soon. When the current 2013-2014 Catalog came out this past Summer, I ordered "Yippee Skippee", one of my favorite sentiment stamp sets. The sentiments themselves and the variety of fonts make the set just plain happy and sure to make you smile.
Over the past few days, I made a few special cards to send out and saw "Yippee Skippee". I've been waiting to use this stamp.
Here's my first Valentine for 2014!
The Crumb Cake card base is a warm neutral, so I had to keep my color scheme warm. Cherry Cobbler and Bermuda Bay are a great "primary" color duo and have the same color saturation. They really pop against the neutral base. A little swatch of 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon is natural and casual.
I created the heart frames with the Hearts Collection Framelits and remembered the all important "Rule of Thirds"… three hearts!!!
So grab some framelits and your favorite stamp set and create something from the heart!
I have this Yippee set too – someone gave it to me but seriously have not used it. Just didn’t know what to do with it. Your inspiration today will help jump start me!! The choice of color isn’t something I would think of but it works beautifully. Thanks!!
This is a super cute card!! And what a great idea! I love the elements of this card: the 3 hearts and the burlap ribbon are really nice!! Colors are excellant too! This is a great card that I might just have to case!!! You are so talented, Debbie!!!
Take Care,
Tracy
So glad to see you back online. This card is super-cute! Love the colors and textures and layout. Yay!
