It's been a little while since I last posted and my apologies for that. I had some recent computer issues that needed attention… all fixed now.
So, here's to another pretty Color Challenge from the Pals Paper Arts. This week, it's Real Red, Soft Sky and Whisper White… perfect for another Valentine!
My inspiration for the off-set layers in my card came from Jen Shults. Here's how I did it.
- Cut a standard A-2 size card base using Real Red card stock.
- The Whisper White layer is simply a rectangle cut 4 1/4" X 4 7/8". Just place the Whisper White layer onto the Real Red base off-center and cut the layer from behind.
- Follow the same method using the Soft Sky Polka Dot DSP from the Subtles Collection DSP Stack. The dimensions of the Soft Sky rectangle are 4" X 4 3/8".
- I hand cropped a few banners and stamped my "Love You" sentiment in Real Red.
- I cropped the Real Red heart using the Hearts A Flutter Framelits.
This color combination is bright and fun. The Real Red gives the Soft Sky such a vibrant backdrop, and this one sure is Clean and Simple and Quick and Easy.
So, pull out your card stock, crop some banners and create something beautiful to link up with us over at the Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge. We love to see your projects.
Until tomorrow…happy stampin!

So pretty. Love the design and this is a great color combo.
Deb, very pretty and clever design. Its like a card on a card and the angle of the banners and the heart brings it all together. Very cool!
Very cute! I love all the layered banners and that sentiment!
The banners are so eye catching! Love the angle too!
Your card is lovely, the different patterns are great. Cx
