It's been a while since I've picked up my stamps. I've recently had some much needed "down tme" to re-organize and re-think… there's been lots of ups and downs around here this past year, but thank goodness my family is well and happy. I was able to spend some time in my stamping room yesterday and went right to inking up the "Ornamental Pine" Stamp Set.
Of course, I had to do some fussy cutting… fussy cutting is always a good way to get some movement going and I find it to be very relaxing.
Subtle layers and traditional striped patterned paper from the "Trim the Tree" Designer Series Paper Stack keep this card design simple so the beautifully detailed pine branch can get the attention it deserves.
The pine cone stamp is so detailed it creates lots of dimension. I "hung" the pine cone on the branch with some folded Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon.
This was a fun, simple project… perfect to help me get my stampin' mojo back. Let's hope it's here to stay.
…and, I just placed my order from the Holiday Supplement available to you all next week. There's lots of beautiful new holiday fun coming soon… keep checking in…
So, grab your favorite holiday stamp set and just ink it… whatever you create will be beautiful!
